About the Journal

Journal of Occupational Health, Hygiene and Safety (JOHHS) is a scholarly journal that publishes original research articles, literature reviews, and case reports in the field of occupational health, safety, and industrial hygiene. This journal serves as a platform for the dissemination and exchange of knowledge among academics, researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders engaged in efforts to protect workers' health and safety.

The scope of JOHHS includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:

  1. Industrial Toxicology — the study of the effects of chemical substances and hazardous materials on workers' health in industrial environments.
  2. Industrial Hygiene — the identification, evaluation, and control of workplace environmental factors (physical, chemical, and biological) that may pose health risks.
  3. Occupational Health — the prevention and management of work-related diseases as well as health promotion in the workplace.
  4. Occupational Safety — occupational safety management systems, accident prevention, and the development of a safety culture in the workplace.
  5. Industrial Psychology — the psychological and behavioral aspects of workers that influence productivity, well-being, and workplace safety.
  6. Ergonomics — the design of work systems that align with human capabilities and limitations to improve efficiency and prevent injury.
  7. Risk Management — encompassing risk assessment, risk management, and risk communication within the workplace.

JOHHS provides immediate and full open access to its published content. This policy is grounded in the principle that freely accessible research findings support greater global exchange of knowledge, removing barriers related to cost, registration, or licensing for readers.
