Plagiarism Policy

Journal of Occupational Health, Hygiene and Safety (JOHHS) is strongly committed to upholding academic integrity and does not tolerate any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification. This journal follows the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and requests authors to familarise themselves with these guidelines at: http://publicationethics.org/resources/guidelines.

All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin software at two stages: upon initial submission and after the peer review process. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%, and the maximum acceptable proportion of AI-generated content is 20%.

Manuscripts found to exceed these thresholds will be returned to the author(s) for revision, or rejected outright, depending on the severity of the findings. In cases where plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal reserves the right to retract the article and notify the author's affiliated institution.

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and for properly citing all sources used in their manuscript, in accordance with the Harvard referencing style specified in the journal's Guidelines for Authors.
