Manuscript Submission Fee: Free
JOHHS does not charge any fee for manuscript submission. Every submitted manuscript undergoes initial editorial screening at no cost to the author before entering the peer-review process.
Article Processing Charge (APC): Rp 350.000,-
If a manuscript is accepted for publication, the corresponding author will be asked to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover production and online publishing costs. Authors facing financial hardship may request a full or partial waiver; requests are evaluated case-by-case by the editorial board and do not affect the outcome of peer review.

Withdrawal and Retraction Policy
1. Withdrawal before publication
Authors may request to withdraw a manuscript at any stage before formal publication by submitting a written request with justification to the editorial office.
- Withdrawal before peer review begins: no charge.
- Withdrawal after peer review has commenced: because reviewer and editorial time has already been invested, the journal may apply a reasonable, pre-disclosed administrative fee to help offset these costs. This is a cost-recovery measure, not a punitive penalty, and the amount is communicated transparently before being charged.
2. Retraction after publication
Once an article is formally published, it becomes part of the permanent scholarly record and cannot be withdrawn simply at the author's request. Retraction is only considered on legitimate scholarly or ethical grounds, following the COPE Retraction Guidelines, such as:
- Clear evidence of unreliable findings due to major error or misconduct
- Plagiarism or duplicate (redundant) publication
- Fabrication or falsification of data
- Unethical research, authorship disputes, or undisclosed conflicts of interest
- Legal or copyright infringement
Retraction decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief in consultation with the editorial board, in accordance with COPE procedures, and no fee is charged to authors for retraction. A retracted article remains publicly accessible and is clearly marked as "RETRACTED," with a retraction notice explaining the reason, in line with COPE and DOAJ best practices.
Authors are strongly encouraged to review their manuscript carefully before submission and to raise any concerns during the review or proofing stage — before the article is formally published — to avoid the need for post-publication action.
