Author Fees

The Journal of Computing and Technology Applications (JCTA) has been accepted for Scopus coverage and is currently undergoing the indexing process.

Starting from 6 March 2026, the Journal of Computing and Technology Applications (JCTA) applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts.

The APC category is determined based on the affiliation of the first author and/or corresponding author.

APC Policy

First author and/or corresponding author affiliated with institutions in Indonesia:

  • Research Article: IDR 5,000,000
    (Introductory APC: IDR 2,500,000, valid until 1 August 2026)

  • Review Article: IDR 6,000,000
    (Introductory APC: IDR 3,000,000, valid until 1 August 2026)

First author and/or corresponding author affiliated with institutions outside Indonesia:

  • All article types: USD 200
    (Introductory APC: USD 100, valid until 1 August 2026)

The APC is required after the manuscript is accepted and must be paid before the article enters the production and publication process.

This policy applies to all manuscripts submitted on or after 6 March 2026.

International Collaboration Discount

To encourage international research collaboration, the Journal of Computing and Technology Applications (JCTA) provides an APC discount for manuscripts that involve international collaboration.

Manuscripts that include at least one co-author affiliated with an institution outside the country of the first author or corresponding author will receive the following APC discount:

  • IDR 500,000 discount for manuscripts under the Indonesian APC category

  • USD 50 discount for manuscripts under the international APC category

This discount will be applied after the manuscript is accepted and verified by the editorial office.

 

APC Waiver and Discount Policy

To encourage the submission of high-quality manuscripts in emerging and impactful research areas, the Journal of Computing and Technology Applications (JCTA) may provide partial or full APC waivers for selected papers.

Manuscripts that demonstrate strong novelty, rigorous methodology, and comprehensive presentation, particularly those addressing emerging topics such as:

  • Generative AI and Large Language Models

  • Multimodal Artificial Intelligence

  • Agentic AI and Autonomous Systems

  • Advanced Computer Vision

may be considered for an APC discount ranging from 50% up to a full waiver, subject to evaluation by the editorial board.

Priority consideration may be given to manuscripts first authored or corresponding authored by researchers with a strong academic track record (e.g., Scopus H-index ≥ 15 or WoS H-index ≥ 10), as an indicator of sustained research impact.

APC discounts or waivers may be granted in exceptional cases at the discretion of the editorial board.

Please note that discounts, promotions, and waivers cannot be combined. Only one discount or waiver policy may be applied to a manuscript.
