Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

The editor of LITE: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Budaya welcomes article submissions by the following guidelines:

  1. The manuscript should be written in English/Indonesian and complies with the focus and scope of the journal.
  2. The manuscript must be original work and never published in other publications.
  3. The title is written in English, both in the article and in the metadata (max. 20 words),
  4. The manuscript must be typed in single space, 3000-8000 words in length, and A4 paper. The writing uses Times New Roman font, size 12.
  5. The manuscript is written in Microsoft Word. 
  6. The source references in the article text are written in APA 7th edition style. We strongly recommend the author use a reference management system (i.e., Mendeley, Zotero)
  7. The manuscript is written using suitable formats based on the provision of a scientific article writing system. Please download and use the manuscript template below as to guide your manuscript writing.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format (.doc/.docx).
  3. DOIs and URLs for the article references have been provided.
  4. The text is 1 spaced; uses a 12-point font (Times New Roman); employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Authors of LITE: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Budaya must agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) before and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).
