Pengaruh Karakteristik Citra Bawah Air terhadap Kinerja Metode Enhancement Menggunakan White Balance, CLAHE, dan Gamma Correction

Kualitas citra bawah air sering mengalami degradasi akibat penyerapan dan hamburan cahaya yang menyebabkan penurunan kecerahan, kontras, serta dominasi warna (color cast). Kondisi tersebut memengaruhi efektivitas metode underwater image enhancement, sehingga diperlukan analisis karakteristik citra sebelum proses peningkatan kualitas dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik brightness, contrast, dan color cast terhadap kinerja metode White Balance, Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE), Gamma Correction, serta dua metode kombinasi, yaitu White Balance–CLAHE dan CLAHE–White Balance. Sebanyak 243 citra dari dataset UIEB-Challenging dan OceanSet dievaluasi menggunakan metrik Underwater Image Quality Measure (UIQM) dan Underwater Color Image Quality Evaluation (UCIQE). Selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian statistik menggunakan One-Way ANOVA dan Tukey HSD untuk menguji signifikansi perbedaan performa antar metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi CLAHE–White Balance menghasilkan nilai UIQM rata-rata tertinggi, sedangkan citra asli (raw image) memperoleh nilai UCIQE rata-rata tertinggi. Hasil One-Way ANOVA menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antar metode (p < 0,05), yang kemudian dikonfirmasi melalui uji Tukey HSD. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas metode enhancement dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik citra serta urutan kombinasi metode yang digunakan.
