Klasifikasi Mahasiswa Berpotensi Dropout Menggunakan Metode Regresi Logistik

Abstract

Dropout merupakan masalah serius yang sering terjadi di dunia perkuliahan. Beragam penyebab yang membuat seorang mahasiswa harus di dropout dari kampus mulai dari biaya kuliah yang mahal, jarak tempat kuliah yang jauh, rasa malas dan lain sebagainya. Setiap kampus pasti menginginkan kelulusan untuk setiap mahasiswanya dikarenakan masalah dropout ini dapat memberikan penilaian buruk bagi pihak kampus. Maka dari itu, langkah yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi peramasalahan ini adalah dengan melakukan klasifikasi. Salah satu metode klasifikasi yang dapat digunakan adalah Regresi Logistik. Metode ini mampu melakukan klasifikasi dengan baik dan memberikan hasil akurasi yang baik juga. Pada penelitian ini, objek yang menjadi bahan penelitian adalah Program Studi Sistem Informasi dan dataset yang digunakan adalah data mahasiswa dari Angkatan 2015 sampai 2024. Hasil dari penelitian ini memberikan nilai akurasi yang sangat tinggi yaitu 99%. Sedangkan presisinya 99%, recall 95% dan f1-score nya adalah 97%.   Kata Kunci – Klasifikasi; Regersi Logistik; Dropout; Universitas
