THE NEED TO SEARCH FOR MEANING OF LIFE IN THE FIGURE OF SHO IN THE ANIMATION THE SECRET WORLD OF ARRIETTY
Abstract
This research discusses the need to search for meaning in life on the figure of Sho in the animation The Secret World of Arrietty based on the psychoanalysis theory by Erich Fromm. The method was descriptive qualitative, by observing and classifying the data. The data analysis includes data reduction, display, interpretation, and conclusion. The data was from dialogues collected from the scenes in The Secret World of Arrietty animation. Based on the analysis, Sho has five needs, which include relatedness, rootedness, frame of orientation, unity, and frame of devotion. Keywords: meaning of life, needs, psychoanalysisReferences
