Focus and Scope

CITRAKARA is a scientific journal published by Universitas Dian Nuswantoro with ISSN 2807-7296. CITRAKARA is a peer-reviewed academic journal focusing on Visual Communication Design and related creative disciplines. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, and practice-based research that contribute to the development of design knowledge through theoretical, methodological, cultural, technological, and creative approaches.

CITRAKARA welcomes interdisciplinary research that explores the relationship between visual communication, design, culture, society, technology, and creative practices. The journal encourages research employing qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods, visual analysis, design research, practice-based research, experimental, historical, and interdisciplinary approaches.

CITRAKARA particularly encourages manuscripts that demonstrate clear research questions, rigorous methodologies, critical analysis, and meaningful contributions to the development of design knowledge.

CITRAKARA does not limit its scope to the topics listed above, provided that submitted manuscripts demonstrate a clear relationship with visual communication design, design studies, creative practices, or related fields and make a meaningful scholarly contribution.
