Peer Review Process

The Journal of Intelligent Computing and Cybersecurity (JICOMX) implements a double-blind peer review process, in which author identities are concealed from reviewers and reviewer identities are concealed from authors, to preserve objectivity and the quality of scholarly evaluation.

JICOMX is published twice a year, in January and July. Manuscripts are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year and are scheduled for the nearest upcoming issue based on the completion of the review process.

Reviewer Evaluation Criteria
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on the following aspects:

  • Originality and scientific contribution (novelty)
  • Alignment with the journal's focus and scope
  • Clarity of problem statement and research objectives
  • Appropriateness of research methodology
  • Validity and depth of results analysis
  • Clarity and completeness of writing
  • Relevance and adequacy of scientific references

Editorial Decisions
After receiving review results, the Editor-in-Chief or Section Editor will issue one of the following decisions:

  • Accept — the manuscript is accepted without further revision
  • Minor Revision — the manuscript is accepted pending minor revisions
  • Major Revision — the manuscript requires substantial revision and will undergo re-review
  • Reject — the manuscript is not accepted for publication

Note for Authors
Given the biannual publication schedule, authors are advised to submit manuscripts at least 2–3 months prior to the intended issue (e.g., before the end of October for the January issue, and before the end of April for the July issue) to allow sufficient time for the review and revision process.
