Abstract

This study analyzes the personality of Akito Hayasaka in the film Drawing Closer using William H.Sheldon's constitutional psychology theory. The objectives of this research are to identity Akito’ssomatotype, determine his dominant temperament, and examine the relationship between these two aspects. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach. The data consist of dialogues, visual expressions, andcharacter actions taken from the film. Data were collected through observation and interpreted according toSheldon's somatotype and temperament classifications. The results show that Akito demonstratescharacteristics of an ectomorphic somatotype. And in terms of temperament, Akito shows dominantcerebrotonia traits. These findings indicate a correspondence between Akito’s physical and temperament, supporting Sheldon's view that body type is related to personality tendencies.
