Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi merupakan suatu dampak global yang sudah meluas di kalangan masyarakat, termasuk teknologi pada telepon seluler. Dalam permasalahan ini, masyarakat terutama yang berdomisili di luar kota Semarang, saat mereka berkunjung di kota tersebut banyak orang akan membeli oleh – oleh khas Semarang untuk keluarga yang dirumah atau saudara mereka, namun dalam hal ini masih mengalami kesulitan saat mencari lokasi pusat oleh – oleh khas Semarang. Hal ini ditimbulkan karena pencarian masih manual juga belum adanya aplikasi yang memudahkan mereka dalam mencari pusat oleh – oleh di kota Semarang. Hal inilah yang mengakibatkan keluhan masyarakat. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan diatas maka perlu pemanfaatan teknologi informasi salah satunya dengan adanya sistem aplikasi android untuk menemukan alamat pusat oleh – oleh yang diinginkan di Kota Semarang yang dapat diakses menggunakan teknologi android melalui handphone. Aplikasi dalam bentuk smartphone android merupakan sebuah solusi. Aplikasi dalam bentuk smartphone ini memiliki beberapa kelebihan diantaranya efisien dalam hal penggunaanya. Dengan menggunakan aplikasi ini diharapkan nantinya pengguna bisa terbantu untuk informasi mengenai lokasi pusat oleh - oleh yang terdapat di Kota Semarang.Kata Kunci : android, peta, pusat oleh-oleh, sistem informasi
