Privacy Statement

JOINS (Journal of Information System) respects the privacy of its authors, reviewers, editors, and readers. This statement explains what personal data we collect and how we use it.

  1. Data We Collect
Account data: name, email address, affiliation, country, username, and, if provided, ORCID iD, biography, and reviewing interests.
Submission data: manuscripts, author metadata (names, affiliations, email addresses), correspondence with the editors, and review reports.
Technical data: IP address, browser information, and visit statistics collected through cookies and visitor-counter tools used on this website.
  2. How We Use the Data
Personal data is used only for the stated purposes of the journal: managing submissions, peer review, editorial decisions, publication, communication with users (for example, review invitations, decisions, and announcements), and maintaining and improving the website. It will not be sold or made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
  3. Who Can See the Data
Editors and editorial staff can see submission data and account data as needed to manage the journal.
Reviewers receive the manuscript without the authors' identity (double-blind review). The identity of reviewers is not disclosed to the authors.
Service providers that host or support the journal website may technically process the data to keep the system running.
  4. What Is Published
When an article is published, the authors' names, affiliations, the corresponding author's email address, and the article's metadata are made public on the journal website and may be indexed by databases and search engines. Because published articles form a permanent scholarly record, this information cannot be removed after publication, except under the correction and retraction policy. Review reports and reviewers' identities are not published.
  5. Data Security and Retention
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Data is kept as long as needed to run the journal and keep the scholarly record. Account holders can request an update of their account data at any time.
  6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, to the extent that it does not conflict with the journal's obligation to maintain the published scholarly record. Please contact us at jurnal@joins.dinus.ac.id. JOINS handles personal data in line with the applicable personal data protection regulations in Indonesia.
  7. Changes
This statement may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page.
