ADAPTASI TEORI DIFUSI-INOVASI DALAM GAME “YUK BENAHI†DENGAN PENDEKATAN KOMUNIKASI SMCR

AbstrakKerusakan lingkungan merupakan permasalahan bagi semua negara, termasuk Indonesia. Berbagai upayadilakukan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut, salah satunya dengan menggunakan teknologi baru.Game edukasi “Yuk Benahi†yang merupakan sebuah bentuk dari alat untuk kampanye peduli lingkungan.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan untuk memetakan adopsi teknologi tersebut denganpendekatan komunikasi SMCR. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan konsep adaptasi teori Difusi-inovasi untukmelihat peluang pemanfaatan game sebagai media baru dalam kampanye peduli lingkungan. Hasil daripenelitian ini yaitu pemanfaatan game sebagai media baru dalam mengkomunikasikan pesan-pesan sosialkepada masyarakat, sehingga memberi peluang pihak lain untuk mengembangkan media yang bisa diterimamasyarakat, sesuai dengan kondisi dan situasi saat ini.  Game edukasi “Yuk Benahi†menjadi media barusebagai inovasi untuk menghindari kebosanan terhadap media konvensional sekaligus menanamkan rasapeduli lingkungan sejak dini. Kata Kunci: difusi, inovasi, game, komunikasi, SMCRAbstractEnvironmental damage is a problem for all countries, including Indonesia. Various efforts are made to solvethe problem, one of them by using new technology. The “Yuk Benahi†educational game which is a form of toolfor an environmentally-aware campaign. This research uses qualitative method and to map the adoption ofthe technology with SMCR communication approach. This research also uses the concept of adaptation of thetheories of Diffusion-innovation to see the opportunity of game utilization as a new media in environmentallycare campaign. The result of this research is the utilization of game as new media in communicating socialmessages to the society, thus giving other party opportunity to develop media that can be accepted by society,according to current condition and situation. Educational game “Yuk Benahi†becomes a new media as aninnovation to avoid boredom against conventional media as well as inculcate the sense of environmental careearly on.Keywords: diffusion, innovation, game, communication, SMCRDownloads
