KAJIAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN PASIEN TUBERKULOSIS TENTANG PENYAKIT DAN PENGOBATAN DI RUMAH SAKIT ”X” KOTA SEMARANG TAHUN 2023

Pulmonary tuberculosis is a direct infectious disease caused by tuberculosis germs (Mycobacterium tuberculosis). Tuberculosis is a health problem both in the world and in Indonesia with a high number of cases and deaths following HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus). The target of the tuberculosis control program is to cure 85% of all patients and maintain them.The research aimed to determine the level of knowledge of tuberculosis patients about the disease and to determine the level of knowledge of tuberculosis patients about treatment.The research object used was the level of knowledge of tuberculosis patients about the disease and treatment at "X" Hospital, Semarang City. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research with direct data collection from patients using a questionnaire. The sampling technique in this research is accidental sampling.The highest incidence of tuberculosis in the age group is 35 people aged 46 - 55 years (31.8%), those aged 17 - 25 years who suffer from tuberculosis the least with 3 people (2.7%). Gender shows that women are 63 more likely to suffer from tuberculosis (57.3%) than men. Tuberculosis occurred most frequently in subjects with a high school education 43 respondents, 19 people had a junior high school education, 27 people had an elementary school education, and the smallest group with other education levels was D3 with 3 respondents (2.8%). The level of knowledge about tuberculosis can be explained based on 3 sub-knowledge, namely the general description of the disease, symptoms, and transmission with a good average result of 86,3, the level of knowledge about tuberculosis treatment can be explained based on 4 sub-knowledge, namely the purpose of treatment, how to use it, side effects and how to store the drug with a good average result of 92,25.Downloads
