About the Journal
Andharupa, Journal of Visual Communication Design & Multimedia is a scientific journal published by Dian Nuswantoro University. Based on the Decree of the Director General of Development and Research Enhancement, Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology, & Higher Education, Number 148/M/KPT/2020 concerning the Ranking of Scientific Journal Accreditation Period II Year 2020 stated that Andharupa maintains the accreditation of national journal ranked 2 or SINTA 2. Andharupa journal publishes original papers, review papers, conceptual framework, analytical and simulation models, case studies, and empirical research. Andharupa journal aims to develop and communicate widely the development of visual communication design and multimedia both theoretical and pragmatic.
Andharupa journal publishes papers in the fields of graphic design, visual communication, visual culture, audio visual, web design, advertising, photography, videography, animation, multimedia, and game design.
Andharupa journal is published both in print and online versions. Andharupa's journal published four times a year in March, June, September, and December.

Focus and Scope
Andharupa journal publishes original papers, review papers, conceptual framework, analytical and simulation models, case studies, and empirical research. Andharupa journal aims to develop and communicate widely the development of visual communication design and multimedia both theoretical and pragmatic.
Andharupa journal publishes papers in the fields of graphic design, visual communication, visual culture, audio visual, web design, advertising, photography, videography, animation, multimedia, and game design.
Peer Review Process
Andharupa Journal has the following review policy:
- Every submitted article will be checked using a web check for plagiarism; turn it in
- Every submitted article will go through a review process
- The review process uses double-blind peer review by involving two reviewers per article
- In the review process, reviewers provide considerations regarding the novelty, scientific impact, conclusions, and references used
- Acceptance of an article by the editor depends on the novelty of the research, the significance of the article, the truth of the content, the level of originality, clarity of description, and the fitness for purpose of the journal
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Journal History
Andharupa, Journal of Visual Communication Design & Multimedia is a scientific journal published by Dian Nuswantoro University. Andharupa journal publishes original papers, review papers, conceptual framework, analytical and simulation models, case studies, and empirical research. Andharupa journal aim to develop and communicate widely the development of visual communication design and multimedia both theoretical and pragmatic. Andharupa journal publishes papers in the fields of graphic design, visual communication, visual culture, audio visual, web design, advertising, photography, videography, animation, multimedia, and game design.
Andharupa journal is published both in print and online versions. Andharupa journal published twice a year, in February and August.
Starting with volume 07. no 01. 2021, Andharupa's journal increased the number of articles published, from 10 articles to 15 articles per issue.
Starting with volume 08. no 01. 2022, Andharupa's journal published four times a year in March, June, September, and December. The number of articles published returns 10 articles per issue.
As of June 10 2024, Jurnal Andharupa in accordance with the direction of the publisher namely Dian Nuswantoro University upgraded OJS version 2 to OJS Version 3. So there were several adjustments to improve services.
