Satu dasawarsa ini telah terjadi gerakan transformasi permukiman kumuh menjadi kawasan wisata. Beberapa kampung kota mengekspresikan wilayahnya dengan warna-warni mural, menyelenggarakan festival dan menciptakan berbagai keunikan wilayahnya. Penelitian ini fokus pada model penciptaan identitas wilayah melalui pendekatan partisipatif dan merekomendasikan model seni partisipatif Re-Visit sebagai strategi pemberdayaan di kampung kota. Studi dikalukan pada latar sejarah geografis serta potensi keberlanjutan yang dapat dikembangkan di permukiman Wonosari Randusari Semarang atau sekarang dikenal dengan nama Kampung Pelangi. Kegiatan seni partisipatoris dilakukan secara kolaboratif bersama dengan warga dan komunitas seni melalui proses penciptaan mural serta kegiatan lainnya guna mengekspresikan identitas tempat. Model seni partisipatoris ReVisit ditujukan untuk menciptakan stimulus sehingga warga tergerak untuk menghasilkan beragam kegiatan yang dapat mendukung keberlanjutan wilayahnya sebagai tempat wisata.References
