Kampung Mandiri RW 5 Wisma Kedung Asem Indah, Surabaya, menjadi kampung percontohan dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan, namun promosi kampung ini masih terbatas dan belum maksimal memanfaatkan potensi media sosial, terutama dalam melibatkan generasi muda. Minimnya partisipasi generasi muda, terutama usia 15-21 tahun, dalam pembangunan kampung menjadi tantangan serius yang dapat menghambat keberlanjutan program-program kampung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan menyelidiki bagaimana merancang komik digital sebagai media promosi yang efektif untuk mengenalkan Kampung Mandiri kepada generasi muda; menginspirasi generasi muda untuk terlibat dalam kegiatan pemberdayaan lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan berbasis perancangan/penciptaan desain (desain-based research). Tahapan penelitian meliputi pengumpulan data, definisi masalah, ideasi, prototyping, dan strategi distribusi komik. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Proses desain komik melibatkan tahapan eksperimen, validasi, dan produksi. Hasil penelitian berupa 25 chapter komik digital empat panel yang mempromosikan aspek positif dan inspiratif tentang Kampung Mandiri agar menarik dan mudah dipahami oleh generasi muda. Komik ini memanfaatkan platform Instagram untuk menjangkau audiens. Paper ini mendokumentasikan proses kreatif dan tahapan penciptaan komik digital sebagai bentuk kontribusi dalam bidang Desain Komunikasi Visual.References
